Unesco description
Situated on the banks of the Vltava river, the town was built around a 13th-century castle with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. It is an outstanding example of a small central European medieval town whose architectural heritage has remained intact thanks to its peaceful evolution over more than five centuries.

On this card you can see the bend in the Vltava river which gave the settlement that resulted in this beautiful city its name. A castle was built in that settlement and was called Chrumbenove in 1253.

Petr writes ¨We bought this card a few years ago on our holidays. We paddled down the river Vltava and Cesky Krumlov was one of our stops. For me, it´s one of the most beautiful towns in Czech Republic (if not the one)¨
